About AussieSpend

AussieSpend is a free set of calculators and guides for Australians spending money overseas. We're not a bank, a broker, or a financial adviser. The tools use Cotizave reference data when available to show how a foreign price, card fees and markups combine into an AUD estimate.

Why we built it

Most currency converters show you a reference exchange rate and stop there. That's a useful starting point, but it may differ from the number on your statement. Card providers can add a rate markup, a foreign transaction fee, or both. AussieSpend shows how those costs affect an estimate. Check a live rate and your card's terms before relying on the result.

What AussieSpend does

Four calculators: a currency converter, a foreign transaction fee calculator, a travel budget calculator, and a tool to compare paying in AUD or local currency at the checkout. The guides explain fees, markups and dynamic currency conversion.

What AussieSpend doesn't do

We do Show Cotizave source times and explain the assumptions behind each estimate.

We don't Exchange money, process payments or give personal financial advice.
